PROJECTS IDENTIFIED TO ASSIST AND UPLIFT OUR COMMUNITY
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
Despite the freedom that came in 1994 women are still very much marginalized, discriminated and subjected to various forms of abuse. When women realize their economic goals, whether it’s growing a business, improving their home, or investing in training or education, they’re more resilient and able to provide for themselves and their families. Our aim is to empower our women to be independent and to know their rights and responsibilities. We want to partner with other organizations who share the same objective of NOSTOP.
Food Security Programme
Sustainability is important for many reasons including: Environmental Quality, to have healthy communities, we need clean air, natural resources, and a nontoxic environment. When considering sustainable food development, the goal is to ensure a future when this expanded population has both enough food available to eat and access to high quality, nutritious foods. With this program we can provide fresh, healthy harvest for residents and allow them to reduce their food bills.
FEEDING SCHEME PROGRAMME (FSP)
In a developing country such as South Africa, where poverty is not only rife, but also among the highest in the world, people inevitably go hungry. According to the World Bank, from a list of 149 countries, South Africa has the highest inequality in the world. Many poor families spend their meagre income on travel, rent, utilities, clothes, etc., some of them cannot afford enough food for the family. Therefore, many children go to school on an empty stomach and often return to a house with limited or no food to eat.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
During October 2020 Stats SA indicated that an analysis of household survey indicates that in recent years at least 50% of youth complete grade 12. Apart from the social impact of such large numbers the young people are moving into early adulthood with very little prospects or hope of improving their situations. We believe that some youth members have several latent skills and we want to help them to unlock it and therefore to facilitate their holistic development.
MUSIC AND ART PROGRAMME
Using art making to develop the personal growth and wellbeing of individuals who are going through personal challenges or trauma. Through this programme we aim to cultivate individuals mental and emotional resilience to develop a strong self-esteem and self-evidence or even to find beauty in life.
COMMUNITY LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMME
South Africans live in a world of dynamic challenges and opportunities and the focus on this program will also help the communities to deal with change and their environment. Recent years we have seen global trend move in both negative and positive directions. The focus on our life skills programs is also to find oneself. We want to provide opportunities in collaboration with partners to create opportunities to unemployed youth and the life they desire. To build personal and social relationships and the ability to be active participants in their communities to the greater South African society.

According to Statistics South Africa (Stats SA), Quarterly Labour Force Survey released on 23 June 2020, the unemployment rate in South Africa has increased to 30,1% in the first quarter of 2020. The youth unemployment rate for those between the ages of 16 and 24 was around 8 percent in early 2017. Typically, teenagers report the highest rates of unemployment. Those in their early 20s are more likely to be working, but their status often depends more on whether they remain in school. Although there are various reasons for youth unemployment vis-à-vis population growth, lack of experience, inappropriate ways of searching for a job and lack of career guidance in schools, the unemployment rate for first-time jobseekers in South Africa is unacceptably high. We partnered with FHI 360 and enrolled a number of girls between the age of 16-24 to prepare them for the world of work and to place them on an internship programme in different organisations.
